The transition to parenting is more difficult than we expect. I provide support in office and at home to facilitate healthy patterns of self-care. 1 in 8 new mothers will experience a postpartum mood disorder. I specialize in mood support during and after the birth of a child. I also have a unique understanding of fertility issues and the more difficult paths to parenthood.
As a lecturer at both USC and UCLA, I love working with new social workers. I am available for clinical supervision, in limited quantities, with mutual agreement. My teaching areas of focus include adolescent development, family therapy, group therapy, EBPs, attachment theory and systems theory.
