I’m Luisa Lowe, LCSW, a licensed therapist based in San Pedro - here to guide you through life’s most complex and difficult matters. I truly care about my clients’ well-being and provide holistic counseling and psychological services catered to their needs.

I started my career as a high school teacher. While I loved working with the passion and laughter of adolescents, I was often struck by the emotional struggles of my students. Too often, my students were prevented from succeeding by their emotional barriers. I decided to pursue my MSW so that I am able to work with students holistically to support their emotional and academic success.

I have been working with students and families for years in clinic and school settings, developing expertise in areas of trauma, depression, anxiety, and brain development.  I explore treatments to address symptoms in adolescents, adults and new parents.  I work closely with parents and families to develop positive communication channels for closer, more rewarding relationships. Over the years, I have worked with people of all ages and a variety of mental health challenges.

Additionally, I currently teach in the Graduate School of Social Welfare at UCLA and the Suzanne Dworak Peck School of Social Work at USC; it is a perfect circle to weave together my love of teaching and mental health support work.
